We will strengthen the vitality of the region together!
With the help of the municipalities in Sydänsuomi (Kannonkoski, Karstula, Kinnula, Kivijärvi, Kyyjärvi, Pihtipudas and Viitasaari), we engage in goal-oriented regional cooperation, where development projects are utilised as tools for the strategic development of the region.
The spearheads of our regional strategy are
- Impetus for foresight – Together we can cope with future transformations with the help of expertise.
- Pulse for business – Versatile cooperation and customer orientation enable competitiveness and renewal.
- Standing out as a pioneer – With our regional expertise, we solve challenges and build visibility.
Each of the joint development projects in the Heart of Finland region is linked to one or more of the spearheads of the regional strategy. This how we build brighter future for Sydänsuomessa.
Regional management model brings agility to development
Our regional development model is interesting and unique on a Finnish scale. Instead of a single legal organization, we believe in the power of an open and flexible network.
Our joint work relies on two teams. In the municipal team, the mayors of the region set goals and make larger strategic guidelines. They decide on joint lobbying in the region and broader outward openings. Municipalities finance regional development work in addition to which also project funding is applied.
The development team brings together representatives of regional development companies and municipal vitality units. The team also includes JAMK, Poke, funders’ representation and a regional coordinator. The development team decides on the projects to be implemented within the limits set by the joint development budget.
The regional coordinator acts as a compiler, regional developer and ensures smooth cooperation between the two teams.
We are happy to tell you about our regional development work! Contact us and let’s talk more.
