Basic information

Kyyjärvi is located in northern Central Finland, on the border of South Ostrobothnia. There are two highways that run through Kyyjärvi, road 13 and highway 16 end there. The surrounding neighbour municipalities in Central Finland are Karstula and Kivijärvi and in South Ostrobothnia Soini, Perho and Alajärvi.

The population of Kyyjärvi is about 1100, of whom slightly less than half are of working age. The municipality covers an area of 469.6 km².

1. Volleyball

KyKyBetset plays in the mens volleyball championship league. The local concrete company Betset strongly supports KyKys activities, for example by employing players.
